This story is about two boys. Milo the introvert and Jake the extrovert.

Now for those who don't know, introverts and extroverts describe personality preferences for energy gain and social interaction: introverts are energized by quiet time and solitude,

feeling drained by social situations, while extroverts are energized by social interaction and external stimulation.

Milo

It all began the second month of Eighth Grade. Milo was sitting in the back of the class as usual when the bell rang signaling that it was recess. He was reaching for his bag to take out his book.

When four of his classmates approached telling him that Jake asked him to join them for recess. Milo looks around until he lays his eyes on Jake.

Jake had been Milo's best friend since they were young ever since they both were moved into the same foster home. Well Jake was accepted by the class, while Milo was a reject.

As one of the four kids tells him what Jake asked them to ask, the others quietly whisper to Milo that he shouldn't even think about joining them and that he should just say no or there will be consequences. So Milo tells them to tell Jake that he does not want to join them.

Jake

The bell rang meaning it was recess. Jake got up and immediately was swarmed by the whole class. He sees Milo sitting in his corner again and so he asks his four closer friends to ask Milo to come join them outside.

As Jake Waits he thinks about the first time that he met Milo.

Their foster parents were meeting him at the door as the social worker brought him in. He was sent upstairs to the room.

When he got to the room he saw a boy around his age sitting on one of the two beds glaring at him. He was told Milo came here a month ago and that they were going to share a room. Although they were cold towards each other at the beginning, they warmed up and became good friends.

Jake's one problem was that Milo never tried to get any friends.

So when the the kids he sent came back telling him milos answer he started getting annoyed

Milo

At the end of the day Milo went home as Jake went to baseball practice. When Milo got home he went upstairs to their room and took a nap.

Two hours later Jake wakes him up with an angry look on his face. Jake starts yelling at Milo for the fact that he refused when he offered him to come play and saying how he won't always be there to help Milo.

That's when Milo lost it. He sat up and shouted at Jake telling him how he doesn't see what's happening around him and that he is so focused on himself and having his friends that Jake doesn't even notice what his friends are doing to Milo.

Jake calls Milo a liar and the both start ignoring each other.

This is where our first part ends
